If your male, do you get facials?and do you get waxed? {lol}?

i occasionally braid the hair on my ***If your male, do you get facials?and do you get waxed? {lol}?
Sorry, can't say as I ever have.

I got burned from a facial wax. How do I prevent scaring?

I gave myself a facial wax yesterday. Which i have done before and this never occurred.

It started hurting more than usual and realized that i probably pulled a layer or two of skin off on my upper lip.

I ran it under cold water and it turned pretty dry. I've been putting Neosporin *original* all day yesterday and the burn turned brown/reddish. Also, I've been applying the inside of the Aloe Vera plant to my burn.

This morning when I was putting some Neosporin on it and the brown/reddish skin of the burned started to peel off and i guess a little bit of liquid came out of it because i've been moisturizing it with Neosporin. It didn't come off completely though. Its pinkish now as to where the skin has peeled. Will it scar?

I think its either a first or second degree burn. I'm not sure. Can someone tell me?

How do I prevent myself from scarring and how long will it take to heal?

Please answer all of my questions =].I got burned from a facial wax. How do I prevent scaring?
Your face would not have any scars. It may have some pigmentation (color - pink first and darker later). Even the color would fade in a few weeks. Keep using the neosporine and aloe. Keep away from sunlight.

what are the side affects of waxing?Waxing my facial hair?
I get my brows, chin and upper lip done - I have never had ingrown hairs, but you do get the plucked chicken look for a few days at first, at least I do. I always get it done on a Friday afternoon so I don't look like a freak at the office the next day. Some people don't have this effect at all, but your hair is dark like mine, so you might. I find that waxing lasts about 6 weeks, with a bit of plucking to clean up the odd hair or two in between.

Some people say that the hair grows in darker and thicker, but I have not found this to be the case for me at all.

good luck!Waxing my facial hair?
There aren't really any side effects. It'll be a bit sore getting it done and will stay red for a while but apart from that you'll be fine. You should probably get a patch test first to make sure you're not sensetive to any of the ingredients, as for ingrown hairs you probably won't get any, just exfoliate regularly. There are creams etc for ingrown hairs if you are worried, ask your beautician to recommend a good brand.
My friend got this done. I don't think there's many dangerous side affects, but it is best to get it done in a good salon, and make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
there arent that many so called side affects but if u have sensitive skin it might just hurt and u might turn red thats basically it but if u keep doing it it wont hurt affter a while

I would suggest to use laser or electrolysis since it will take care of the problem permanently and will cost less in the long run because you don't have to spend money on all of these products.

if your doing your eyebrows i guess its ok...but if your doing your whole face..i heard its bad...it eventually leads to wrinkles cos its really harsh on your skin...i would just pluck.Facial Waxing?
Yea I think it works good.

But if your doing your eyebrows after like 2 weeks you will have to pluck them. Or wax again..
I have not used this product but I would warn you that waxing hair will cause it to grow back thicker and stronger so you really should consult a professional before doing this so they can inform you of all of the pros and cons.

Its okay,do what you want. You dont need other peoples approval(=
    I'd actually perfer it.
    its fine
Yeah go for it. Most salons do full body waxing for men as well as women and there's no need to be ambarrassed or feel awkward in any way.

It used to be thought of as something just gay men did but now, men of all orientations get waxed and no one bats an eyelid.

I felt the same way as you do about my own body hair and so now I get waxed every few months and I feel great when I'm smooth all over. The only thing is, it gets expensive to get waxed all over too regularly, so I have to put up with being hairy for some time in between.

Hmm, should i use my normal facial scrub tonight? i just got my brows waxed?

Okay, so I know I asked Marie at G.Juarez if I should use my scrub tonight... (she's that lady the waxed my eyebrows) but it seems as though I have forgotton. (I've been up since 4am, black friday...) I've gotten my eyebrows done many times before, but I've recently been on Retin-A Gel and Doxycyline Hyclate for my blemishes, and I don't know if I should use my facial scrub tonight on my sensitive waxed brows.

    Any tips?

Thanks :)) Happy belated Turkey Day

you little monsters.... hehe :)Hmm, should i use my normal facial scrub tonight? i just got my brows waxed?
If your scrub is abrasive and has beads, I suggest you do not use it tonight. It might cause irritation on your sensitive newly waxed brows.Hmm, should i use my normal facial scrub tonight? i just got my brows waxed?
yeah unless its like a medical scrub

  • I want to wax my face for prom will i break out? i have little facial hair just a lot on my chin n neck???

Waxing is not the best idea or choice to do. The reason why is because later on you will grow even darker and more hair then you have now on your face or the places you are thinking on waxing. I recommend to just bleach your facial hair like blonde so it less noticeable and then you dont have to wax it every single day because they are going to grow thicker, darker, and more if you wax and expect to wax more den just a special occasion. Love and peace.I want to wax my face for prom will i break out? i have little facial hair just a lot on my chin n neck???
I would recommend doing it a day or two before prom, so the swelling and redness doesn't show up.I want to wax my face for prom will i break out? i have little facial hair just a lot on my chin n neck???
You should only get a little redness but be careful. My nail lady waxed my lip by accident because I had a little bit of blonde hair and now I have to go in and wax it all the time because it grew back in darker in color.
ew waxing your face... sounds painful. maybe you could just try bleaching the hair to make it less noticeable
try it maybe a week or two before, so that if it will- you'll know
just try it on small patch
    firsts of all

    FACE SCRUB

or if you're waxing ur body BODY SRUB

    moisturizer after you wax

and makesure you push down on ur face with ur fingers after so then the pain isn't as intense

oh the reason why you would scrub your face right before

is that you break out because of dead skin falling into you're pores so if u get ride of the dead skin with facial scrub you won't have break outs after waxing

and that about it growing thicker and darker is not true i talked to a lady who is proffessional ... the more u wax the more you pull out the root ... eventually the root will get weaker and lighter and not grow in darker but if u shave it, it will get worse (for example if u pull weed in ur garden it won't grow back as fast ... but if u just cutt off the top you're triming it and hair/plants love trimming makes the root stronger) so wax is better

I agree with Brittany, you should do threading and maybe try what I do, which is a combination of hot waxing, threading, with a little bit of tweezing, all done by a professional. I live in the D.C./Maryland area and there is one department store that offers the service. They have a full salon. They charge per area. I get chin, sides and under chin and it costs $30 and I only need it done once a month and sometimes every 5 weeks. I know there are Indian and Middle Eastern shops throughout New York and New Jersey that offers this service. I even found a shop in Nashville Tennessee. lol (A real woman, where there is a need there is a way). Be careful as you know all of these services can iritate your skin afterwards. I use natural raw shea butter after my beauty regimen to heal and soften my skin.
    you should do threading

Dose anyone about the waxing strips that already have wax on a strip and all you have to do is stick it on than pull it off? Well do they work good on the upperlip and chin/neck area?

At my local grocery store they have some like that by parissa, and i want to buy them, but i want to know if they work good before i buy them?

Thanks.. xFacial Waxing,, Please help me.?
Yes, they work. All you have to do is stick it and pull it off, like you said. Don't forget to moisturize your skin after that. Dont do it right before going out or before an important meeting. The area which is waxed kind of turns to red. And it looks funny. You have to wait one day for it to get normal.Facial Waxing,, Please help me.?
i am a beauty therapist and i can assure you that the wax strips do work..the only problem is removing the strip correctly..warm the strip by rubbing in in your palms for a couple of seconds then place the strip on ..pull the skin taught and remove it quickly from bottom to top..do not remove it downwards and only go over the area once or you may rip off skin! and be quick and try not to hesitate the longer the strip is on the more the wax warms making it impossible to remove..another suggestion is to get it done pofessionally as it is not expensive and results will last longer .. you can get advice from them also! i reccoment 'veet'

    x x xgd luck x x
I am not sure... but I do know you have to be really careful using those because if you melt the wax to hot, you can burn yourself really bad. And if you aren't really care, you may end up having to go have the hair removed professionally anyway. But good luck...

Oh, and if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply in your area, try going there or look up their website for good brand name waxes.
Yes! i use the pre-wax strips for my upper lip and they work great! I would definatly recommend them. They are really easy to use. I use Andrea pre wax strips, they're cheap and they work very well!
    I love to strip.

    Facial Waxing question?

How often should you have your hair above you lip waxed before it stays gone forever? Or will it just keep growing back no matter what you do?Facial Waxing question?
waxing can slow the growth of hair down slightly over time, but not always. It can also make the hair finer over time. Laser treatment (electrolysis) is the only permenant hair removal treatment. It can take a long time to complete though as you have to get each individual hair lasered at a time. And doing each hair once isnt always enough, because hair goes through 3 different stages as its growing, and if it happens to be in the ''sleeping'' phase then it will just grow back again. So its possible that each individual hair could take up to 3 treatments before its permenantly removed, and you have to wait 4 weeks between each session.Facial Waxing question?
Sorry, it will keep growing back if you wax. The only thing that it can decrease it slowly is laser which is costly.
it will just keep growing backk.....i kno it sux but if you can afford it.....you can laser hair removal i suggest going to a dermatologist but i think you hav to wait til ur like 17 or 18 until it actually works/......
I agree with the answers above. Laser hair removal is the only permanent solution. Me personally get facial hair wax ( eyebrows %26amp; upper lip ) whenever I go get my nails done, which is roughly about every 2 1/2 weeks.
Over time it will come back more slowly, but there is no real ';permanent'; hair removal method out there. According to a comsmetic surgeon I spoke with the ';most permanent'; hair removal available now is laser, and still you have to continue sessions, but laser treatment leaves you hair free for the longest.
waxing is not known to be a permanent hair removal process. I had my face waxed for over 10 years and still had hair. I went every 3 - 4 weeks for 10 years. It will keep growing back.

You would need to switch to either electrolysis or laser to permanently remove the hair. which works best on dark hair, light skin. it doesn't work especially well on blonde or other light hair.
Depending on the thickness of your hair, it should get thinner and lighter with each waxing and maybe never come back after a year or two? Everyone is different though. If this helps at all I have thick, dark hair and I have been waxing my underarms for a little over a year and now the hair is fine and blonde.

I was curious if facial waxing is a normal thing to do? I only wax my upper lip and i recently did my eyebrows, I have blonde peach fuzz on my forehead should I wax it off use a hair remover or just leave it alone?Facial waxing?

I promise you that guys love peach fuzz hair esp in areas like the forehead, arms, back etc.

    Facial Waxing?

Ok, i really wanna do this, but i don't understand what kind of fabric to use and how to pull the hair off of my lip?

Here is what i want to do: Mix lemon, sugar, and honey in a bowl. Microwave on high for about 2-3 minutes, until it bubbles into a smooth consistency. Spread a thin layer on your upper lip area. Cover with a strip of fabric, and rubbing the strip the opposite way of hair growth, about 3 times. Grab the fabric end and pull it off very quickly against the direction of the hair growth. This is an effective home remedy for hair removal.Facial Waxing?
They sell those waxing strips at stores, you can go buy some of those. When you wax your lip, put it on one side at a time. Like put wax on the left side... put on the strip then pull the hair off against the direction... then do the same for the other side.Facial Waxing?
just go to a salon they will help

Is it possible for men to get there faces waxed like woman do, so that you don't have to shave everyday. If so how long would it last?

Seems to me facial hair is useless, and shaving everyday is a pain, so I would like to know if there is a better way, I know women that get waxed but I have never heard of a man doing this.Facial waxing,?
You can go to drugstores or any stores and buy Nair. They have facial cream that you put on then you remove if it with water and washcloth. It doesn't hurt at all. If you want it to last longer, the stores sell shaving minimizing lotion. You put it on after you remove the hair. If your embarrrased to buy at stores then go on drugstore.com and buy it there. Be careful to read which one is good and which one is not from peoples comments.Facial waxing,?
i'm sure you could but because the hair on your face is thicker and more coarse it will hurt!!!!! it hurts for women and we only have certain areas we wax...i couldn't even imagine for a man.
It's only hair, and of course you can get it waxed! Typically, waxing lasts about three weeks before you have to get it done again, so if shaving is a bore and annoying, it would definitely be a good idea to go ahead and wax it off. One thing that I must remind you.....it hurts like heck!! Just think of the pain that we go through for bikini waxes!!
Yes,you can get it waxed but some facial hairs are very rooted and this can be more than painfull ans even scar you if you are with thick facial beard hairs.

Nair or any hair burning treatment can lead to ingrown hair problems and this can be painfull and lead to cystic type acnelike puss filled problems.

Laser treatment is the best, but not cheap.

One can pluck the hairs one at a time.It is painfull but its the cheapest way.
I get my eyebrows waxed everyday and my hair stylist always told me that a boys hair grows in faster and thicker than a womans hair. It would hurt alot worse, but you wouldn't have to shave as often.
Yeah i have a lot of men clients who i perform facial waxing on. but u will need to not shave for a week because when u shave it makes the hair more rough to the point the wax cant grip the hair well. my male clients come every 2-3 weeks depending on the hair growth. i suggest every man gets it done cause it make the face more smoother. DO NOT TRY IT YOURSELF but get a professional to do it. good luck

Hi! i have prob regarding facial hair, on sides of cheeks and chin. what is better laser reduction or wax?

If it is only ';peach fuzz'; I would leave it alone. It is only noticeable to you. Removing facial hair will only cause it to come back more coarse and noticeable than before.

If the hair is more than ';peach fuzz';, go to a dermatologist and ask his advice. You may need hormones to reduce the growth and he can advise you on the best way to remove it.

will waxing not leave a shadow?Facial hair waxing?
Perissa wax is the best. No, waxing shouldn't leave a shadow, but depending on how sensitive your skin is, it may get red or have little bumps.Facial hair waxing?
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are ';permanent'; hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
do not shave hair on your face! it can grow back course and dark. if you must cut your sideburn hair, use scissors. i used hair clippers for that for awhile, and my stylist told me to use scissors. as far as waxing goes, try having a professional wax your ';unwanted'; facial hair at least once and ask them what they recommend using at home. i have my eyebrows waxed and the only shadow it leaves is pink! lol p.s.-i too, am fair skinned.
waxing will eventually slow the growth as well. try not to use hot wax on the face as if you apply it hot sometimes will leave marks on your face. bad part about waxing you skin will sag faster.
try Sally Hansen facial hair removal

    waxing hurts!
Your best bet is to go to a salon that does it. If you really want to try it at home (it may not last long) try Veet strips
use tweezers, the hair grows back slower

    Waxing facial hair..........?

hey im a girl and im 13 years old , i have hair under my chin and it sucks soo much ! the left side is like black hair and the right is blond...its really weird , and the hair is a lot longer than normal (because i know that it is normal to have hair there) anyway, the blond part doesnt show much, but when the sun shines it looks yellow, so i was thinking about waxing it all off.. theres a lot , so it might be hard and im nervous........do you think i should do it ? If i do it , than how long will it take for the hair to grow back? (hair doesnt grow on your face, does it?) and if it does grow back, than will it be the same color as before, or darker? and also, once it starts growing back, how long will it take before it starts getting long again? Thank you so much :)Waxing facial hair..........?
    1) Wax it, so much easier than dealing with immature boys making fun of you (trust me, I know)

    2) Have it professionally done at a salon, it costs like $10-$20 and you don't have to worry about screwing something up

    3) It will grow back unless you have electrolysis done (which is an option but it is more expensive but could be worth it). It will grow back, but how fast depends on your hair. Mine usually grows back in a week or so, but I've heard other people's can last up to 6 weeks.

    4) It will be the same color, it may seem thicker but that's because it's a short stubby hair. As hair gets longer, it seems thinner. When it's short, it just seems thicker. That's just a myth that hair grows back darker and thicker.

    5) It will probably take about a month or so, depending on how fast your hair grows, before it gets long again.

Hope this helps! I know how much it sucks to have embarrassing body hair.Waxing facial hair..........?
You might consider converting to islam. The burka will conceal the hair in question, and no one can view it but your 50 year old husband and his other wives. They all have facial hair too.
Waxing is painful and your hair will grow back darker. I would recommend laser treatment.

But if you don't like that you could braid your hair and put beads in it.

    Facial Waxing tips........?

So i had a problem which a lot of indian women do, i had dark facial hair so i got my face waxed yesterday. it didnt hurt as much as i thought it would, and the redness was gone by this morning when i woke up. my face is a little itchy but the lady at the salon told me not to itch it. i was just wondering how long after waxing can i take a shower? it was my first time getting it done, and ive heard that you should avoid heat and steamy areas after waxing (especially facial) as it causes the pores to open up and may cause breakouts redness infection etc. so its been almost 24 hours since i got it done, can i go wash my hair? cuz i also heard that you should wait especially if its ur first time getting it done....

also has anyone ever had facial waxing done before? if so any advice would help! thanksFacial Waxing tips........?
you got wrong advice from the start and now you want us to advise you further? Yeah, ok, you should never have had it done in the first place. Now you'll have to keep getting it waxed (costly, and stubble like a man's beard will appear).Facial Waxing tips........?
Waxing is the best way of removing excess hair, especially for Indian women, as like you said, thins the hair and reduces hair growth from it.

    You got the corect advise.

Wait 24 hours, now that 24 hours have passed- it is fine to shower/wash.

Advise for facial waxing-don't touch the waxed area afterwards, you don't want germs/bacteria from your hands getting into your open pores,it would cause infection, whiteheads, etc.

Keep it up regularly, you will more than likely see results this way-reduced hair growth, etc.

Unless u have alot of facial hair, I would dye it. Not only does it last longer, u won't get the stuble %26amp; have it grow back twice as thick.

My 12 year old daughter has a uni-brow. I just take a dab of facial dye, %26amp; bravo she has 2 brows for about 4 months.Facial Waxing (please help)?

    Facial Waxing?

    Hey guys, today i went to the store to pick up a few things. While i was there i saw some facial waxing products. -- (i need to facial wax my upper lip) I saw one that i was going to buy, but i didn't cause i dont know if it works good. It was called ;

Nair Pretty Face and Bikini waxing strips. Dose anyone know if that products work good? Is it easy to use?

(i only want answers form people who use that product.)Facial Waxing?
Yea they work. I like Nair Pretty Face. But it leaves me really red.Facial Waxing?
I've tried doing it myself with those products and I didn't have very good luck. It hurt and it left my lip red for several days. Go to a salon that has licensed estheticians. It doesn't cost much more than buying the products.
i would never wax my own bikini that just sounds horrible for that i go into a spa for someone else to do it. i havent heard much about nair pretty face but i dont like nair products in general... they stink and dont always do the best job at removing hair.

    Facial Waxing?

This is a weird question, but I go in every 2 weeks to have my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. One time I go in and it's virtually painless, then the next time I go in it seems like my skin is more sensitive and hurts more, then the next time I go in it's painless. Does it have something to do with the temperature of the wax, or does it have to do with horomones? Every other time I go in, I'm close to starting my period, could that make my skin sensitive? I have the same amount of hair growth, and the same lady does the waxing every time. I was just wondering if anybody else has ever noticed this or know why it happens...Facial Waxing?
hormones shouldent effect how much waxing hurts. the temperature of the wax has a lot to do with the amount of pain u feel.

if u want to make sure that every time u go in it wont hurt, numb ur eyebrows and upper lip before u go in by taking an ice cube and rubbing it on the areas.Facial Waxing?
Maybe going in every two weeks is not giving the skin enough time to heal fully, that's what happened to me when I went every two weeks. I had to start going every three weeks.
it has 2 do with ur horomones, pms or when u pass an egg...either time will make u more sensitive...

  • Facial waxing?

I find that i am waxing my facial hair (Side burns, cheeks and chin) every week and a half (though im preety sure recently its becoming a weekly habbit) and i am concerned whether this is normal? I find growth after waxing starting about 2days after.. is that normal?. I am also finding bumps and increased whiteheads in areas i wax and also have marks on my skin from waxing and often have 'peeling/dry skin' a few days after waxing... how do i overcome all of this? What wax is best for facial hair? i currently use Veet sensitive strips, i used to use microwavable wax but found it burnt my skin as i could never get the temperature on the skin right! Please help! Thank you.Facial waxing?
I find that my facial hair (upper lip and eyebrows) grows about that fast. However, I don't wax. My method is to first use a depilatory cream, and then a day later bleach whatever is left that the cream did not take off. It is easier for me and doesn't hurt.Facial waxing?
Try having your facial hair laser off.

How should i remove facial hair?...i dont want to remove it through wax...or laser or electrolysis..?

    shave.................

all the bestHow should i remove facial hair?...i dont want to remove it through wax...or laser or electrolysis..?
If you are a female then you shouldn't shave. Men and women faces are designed differently. Men genetically are supposed to have facial hair. If a woman shaves as a man would the hair will tend to grow back much thicker and you will have the ';5 o'clock shadow'; or razor bumps. Try using a good hair removing cream that will get rid of the excess facial hair without the hassle. How should i remove facial hair?...i dont want to remove it through wax...or laser or electrolysis..?
try threading, its like wax in terms of how long it takes for regrowth, but you dont have all the chemicals or wax on your face

you dont want to shave, that causes stubble wen hair is re-growing and you could get shaving bumps. not cool if your a girl especally.

dont use nair, or any hair removal cream as this was not designed for facial use and the chemicals in it can cause burning to your face because of the sensitivity to your face
About the only other options are tweezing and threading. Threading has to be done by someone else.

I'm having some electrolysis done. I thought it would hurt a lot, but actually it's only a bit more painful than tweezing, and then the hair's gone FOREVER.
Apply neem powder and turmeric powder on the face daily. It takes time but effective results. You can try bleaching every 15 days.It camouflage the hair to our skin.Check your hormones. If it is not balanced any treatment will be more time consuming.
try using natural turmeric paste. it is known for removing facial hair and it is chemical free.
DO NOT SHAVE. You can use tweezers or nair.
then probably the only option left is shave with razor.
    SHAVE
shave or use hair removing spray...
    nair

I can't stand facial hair on men, especially hairy beards and mustaches where they wax or play with the ends.

is this an actual phobia? Why do men grow hair, do they have any idea how many women are repulsed by hair? Ew.I can't stand facial hair on men, especially hairy beards and mustaches where they wax or play with the ends.
No, it's not a ';phobia';. You are repulsed by facial hair which is fine and your personal choice. Everyone is different. I agree with the mustache deal where the guy waxes or ';twirls'; the end of his mustache; to me that is gross too. But I do like ';scruffy'; day old beards, the rugged look on guys, and mainly guys do it because it is what makes them feel ';manly'; or good about themselves or the opposite, they just plain don't feel like shaving. I can understand that, because shaving my legs is a true hassle and I will admit, I get lazy at times and don't shave simply cause I don't feel like it. Bottom line, it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round and there is probably a man out there that feels the same way you do.I can't stand facial hair on men, especially hairy beards and mustaches where they wax or play with the ends.
Thank you. Even if you don't feel the same way I do, at least you were open-minded enough to listen to me and accept my answer and I thank you for that!

I can say that beards and mustaches definitely look better on some men than on others. Not sure if there is a reason, other than on some men it just doesn't flatter their appearance. I'm sure someone like a barber could give you a better answer.
I don't know if it is an actual phobia and didn't know many women were grossed out by it.......hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

My roommate has a lot of facial hair, should I buy HER a gift certificate for a mustache wax?

Or you could encourage her to try and become the next bearded lady at the Jengo Salvatory Extravaganza tent!My roommate has a lot of facial hair, should I buy HER a gift certificate for a mustache wax?
Yes or a do it yourself kit.My roommate has a lot of facial hair, should I buy HER a gift certificate for a mustache wax?
If it really bothers you, maybe you should suggest a girls day out and go to the spa together.

Or invite some other friends and have slumber party, talk about boys, give facials....., maybe some wine. A girls night.

Just like when you where kids( I am assume roommates you are an adult)
    No don't do that~

That's kinda meanly pointing it out~

I WOULD however suggest you both go get your lips waxed, and after get a mani/pedi (then your roomie doesn't have to get her feelings hurt...)

    Hope This Helps!
That is so mean.......Just buy her a gift certificate to the spa and go with her. Order a mustache wax for yourself and ask her if she wants to do one too. Maybe that will help her to be more open to doing it, especially if she sees someone else doing it.
if you want to stay friends i wouldn't do it.... there are more sensitive ways to talk about things like that... unless your jealous of her and your trying to bring her self esteem down so you can feel better about your self.....

P.S. Im glad i don't have friends like you
no! that would be rude. it's like saying ';you're horrible to live with because you're so disgusting'; and it would hurt her feelings. if you have a heart, you won't do it.
Her facial hair is none of your business, and she'd almost certainly be offended by your ';gift.'; Don't do it if you want your living arrangement to continue to be pleasant.
Are you close enough to do that without offending her. I mean you may mean well but she can take it wrong and it could turn out ugly. Further u dont want to fight especially with living with her do you.

If it does not bother u let it be and when the time is right or when you already know each other well enough then maybe you could suggest a wax but do not buy it as a gift. A gift is usually something special to treasure.
You're a true friend. But before you give her the gift certificate, tell her to audition for the ';Chewbacca Look A Like Contest';. LoL =)
I thought kittens were SUPPOSED to have a lot of facial hair!
just get her a mach 3.
If you think she will use it
I think vacuum cleaner is the best!!!
    Don't worry about it
    no lazer
no i think chick staches are hot

    Facial Wax?!?

what is the best facial wax you have tried? how much was it, where did U buy it, on a scale of 1 to 5 (with 5 being the highest) what would you rate it, and what race RU (not to be racist)?Facial Wax?!?
    i am blackFacial Wax?!?
Believe or not i like Avon wax kit for under 15.00 with plenty of strips/wax to last over 6mo. only down fall is, stick is hard to clean once its dried of wax. but for the price/good quality of the wax i like it the best. all you do is heat the wax in its container in microwave and wa la, dap on area and put strap on for a few seconds and wa la,,,, hair right off. hope this can help.

rate this a 5, iam a white female
I know this isn't a wax.. but it does remove hair.

I use NAIR, and I would give it a 5/5. It lasts for approx 4-5 weeks. (if you get this product, make sure you get the one that is specifically for the face)

I'm white. I forgot to mention, the price is around 5-7 dollars.

Yes, but sometimes it gets messy so you need to buy a new bottle
Free yourselves from wax, girls, and get it lasered off.
    i just wax the unibrow
I hope so... I guess it just depends on the amount of hair you have and how often you do it.
    eew. you have a moustache.
it SHOULD last unless if you wax a lot

    Facial Waxing Question?

Hey guys, does anyone here use facial waxing? Ok well have hair under my chin, like inbetween my next and the front of my face, is it ok to use facial waxing there?Facial Waxing Question?

    Facial Waxing?

Hey guys, i facial wax my face and i dont have much facial waxing things left, what would it do if i didnt wax for 2 months? (Over my upper lip)Facial Waxing?
2months!! no way i could leave mine for that long or id look like a bloke. i used to wax my top lip but you could also bleach it using a product called jolen which is effective, or you could get some nair cream, i use this every 2 weeks but it does make my skin very dry even though its for sensitive skin.Facial Waxing?
it would eventually grow bak to normal...=] try laser? it worked for a friend of mine saves her alot of money and time

Can these wax strips be used for facial hair too??

http://www.amazon.com/Sally-Hansen-Strip鈥?/a>Can these wax strips be used for facial hair too??
It says Face right in the name... and in the information. Can these wax strips be used for facial hair too??
    It says they are.
If your skin is sensitive, use some other hair removal method. From http://www.hairremoval.in
NOOO! Your face is much more sensitive then other parts of your body. If you use them, you are going to have huge red marks and even some bleeding.
Yes you can use them on the face. But before you try them I advise you to do a patch test, just incase your skin reacts to it!
Yeah its for brows and upper lip hair- it says in on the box. But Sally Hansens' wax products don't work so well I wouldn't waste my money and get it done professionally because it doesn't remove any hair and it leaves the place you tried to wax sticky.
Don`t see why not, if you don`t have thick hair like a man.....
yes it says on the product it can.

how long does facial hair have to be before you can wax it off ?????????How long does facial hair have to be before you can wax it off (upper lip) ???
It depends on the wax that the salon uses.

I've had it done when it was 2mm long so its not really noticable at that length but check with the salonHow long does facial hair have to be before you can wax it off (upper lip) ???
3-4mm it hurts a bit for a short while but is definatley worth it
Hot dawg damn .... sounds like you have Ed Zacarys disease .... I remember a rather difficult situation an old friend of mine's sister once had, poor girl. Apparently she had not even been on a date for around nine years let alone had sex or got laid, so she was talking to one of her girlfriends who told her of a promblem she had with her husband three years before. Apparently they had not been sleeping together as they once did so in some desperation the two of them had gone to a Chinese herbalist doctor, they had eight sessions with him and to this day they had never been to happy together. So, after asking her friend if she would go to any lengths to find change she offered her friend the telephone number. Three days later my friend's sister made the call and made an appointment to see the doctor, very nervous she atteneded at the time offered. She went in and was offered a chair and he began taking her history and asking what her concerns were and why she had come to see him, after telling the doctor of her worries and complaint he asked her if she would go to any lengths in order to find change to which she said she was desperate for change. He then asked her to disrobe to take everything off and to get on her hands and knees and to then crawl across the room, mortified she complied with his directions, once having crossed the room with him making tutting noises she looked over her shoulder to which he motioned her to make the return journey, crawling all the way back to him, all the way seeing him shake his head and continuing his tutting. She then asked him what was wrong, why was he shaking his head and tutting, to which he said that what she had was a serious case ..... one of the worse cases he had seen, she was in semi shock and asked him what he meant and was there any way to remedy what he thought she had. She then asked what it was he thought she had to which he said Ed Zacary's disease, one of the worst cases of Ed Zacary's disease he had ever seen, blown away she said what is Ed Zacary's disease, I've never ever even heard of it, so he explained, it is when your butt looks Ed Zacary like your face.
It depends on the waxing system used by the salon. roller waxing spreads thinner than spatula waxing therefor will remove 1-2millimetre hair. Roller waxing is also more hygienic.
use sensitive hair removal cream frm superdrugs..check its suitable for facial use i highly reccomend as as i have dark hair and it works a treat its in a tube and is superdrugs own

Do you think it is ok for a man to get facials, manicures, pedicures, and eye brow waxing...?

for the purpose for meeting women?Do you think it is ok for a man to get facials, manicures, pedicures, and eye brow waxing...?
It's ok if a man gets the occasional manicure and pedicure (especially if his hands and feet are jacked), but it's a slippery slope.

I want a man who's a MAN! If he's trying to be ';pretty'; then he's not my type.Do you think it is ok for a man to get facials, manicures, pedicures, and eye brow waxing...?
I'm not so much into men who feel comfortable in a spa setting. I think male eyebrow waxing is seriously wacked. I do sometimes do a little work on my husband's nails at home because he is a nail biter.
I don't like pretty boys. I like a good clean shaven man, in levis and a Tshirt. Anything that goes beyond that is a little on the puff side to me.
Well as a man I get manicures and pedicures just to look good. I have never had a woman tell me I had nice nails but I know horrible nails can be a deal breaker.

  • WAX or NAIR? for facial hair?

i asked the question how to get rid of mushtache...but i got a 50/50 between waxing it....or using nair

which one is it..WAX or NAIR? for facial hair?
haha you rhymed... clever clever girl

wax hurts a lot, so i'd say nair would be the best option, though I'm not sure how it reacts to sensitive skinWAX or NAIR? for facial hair?
I use this awesome cream from Avon you put it on for 15 minutes and then you take a rag and rub kinda hard and poof it is gone.Me and My daughter both use,I don't remember the name but if you are interested Email me and I will email you the name of it.
Wax all the way!!!! Use a prefessional though. Seriously do not use Nair! I tried it on my legs and the smell was so terrible I took it off within like 2 minutes. Do you really want to have that smell in a area right under your nose? Or you can use skintimate everyday and shave it. Or you could use ';Jolen creme bleach';, with lightens the hair and is not painful, you can get that at a department store near you.
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
definitley use wax. i tried nair on my facial hair and it burned so bad and gave me a bright red rash on my face for 2 weeks. and i couldnt even touch my lip cuz it was swelled. do not use nair on your face!!!!!!
WAX for sure. It does hurt but your hair will grow back slower, less course and lighter. This has been my experience with my leg hairs and my eyebrows. Besides Nair smells.
I'm a big fan of waxing and you can do that at home just as easily as NAIR--it's like ripping off a band-aid. One moment of pain, but worth it. Buy one of the Sally Hansen home waxing kits that you can use with a microwave. Heat it up. Spread it on upper lip. Place muslin strip over it. Push. Pull! Ouch! Gorgeous:)
Wax! Nair smells bad and will be too close to your lips. Wax will give you longer results. Best alternative? Permanent- laser hair removal by a local dermatologist- will take average 3-6 treatments (one every 4 weeks) for permanent removal. Doesn't hurt (like a rubberband snap) and is very quick.
nair. wax hurts. and nair comes in different scents now so it won't smell bad and its painless. :)
it depends on how sensitive you skin is nair works on skin that isnt sensitive
    wax always
i would use nair bcuz it is less painful but waxing probably has a better outcome.
Nair for face for lip hair. Waxing for eyebrows.
NAIR makes waxing stips specifically for facial hair you just rub them between you hands to worm them up pull them apart and wax off the facial hair they work!! and they are really cheap
    WAX
WAX WAX WAX! The chemicals in Nair is NOT good for your skin and may even burn it.Waxing will eventually reduce the hair growth and you wont have to do it as often. Ok, I hope I cleared things up a bit! And remember beauty is pain!!
I would recommend wax, because Nair smells NASTY!!!!! And it could irritate your skin and cause breakouts. And if you use nair, it will grow back in a few days, but if you use wax, it will take a couple weeks to grow back.
I would ask Rosie O'Donnell which method she gets the best results from.
i say wax cause my aunt uses nair and it doesnt work for her.

Should i wax or thread my facial hair??HELP?

i want to get rid of hair on the sides of my face...but i want the best way so that theres no stubble or anything like that..and which is less painfull?? and will the regrowth be noticable???Should i wax or thread my facial hair??HELP?
Waxing will be much quicker, but the regrowth will be about the same with both methods. There shouldn't be any stubble right after the hair is removed, but you can't avoid stubble as hair grows out. Even if your facial hair is visible like mine, it's probably very fine and delicate. It probably won't feel stubbly as it grows out, but only you know how thick your hair is. If you get the hair removed every week, it should grow in more slowly and sparsely after you've been getting it done for a long time. Removing hair does not cause it to grow in thicker and darker. That's an old wives tail. Any dermatologist will tell you so. It probably comes from the fact that very short hairs (aka stubble) feel much thicker and rougher than they actually are, making people think that their hair got thicker because they shaved it.Should i wax or thread my facial hair??HELP?
Im not sure which is less painful honestly but the regrowth will be dark and come back quickly. You will more than likely hate it. I would suggest dying the hair a very very little blond. It works wonders because the hair is there and no one can see it. Plus no dark, ungle regrowth.

Best of luck in your search :)
I would have it threaded, waxing is more painful and the skin on your face is more sensitive and therefore more likely to react to waxing, i always have my eyebrows threaded, its not that painful and allthough it takes a little longer i think the result is well worth it! good luck
im sorry about ur facial hair problems.. i have the same problem.. and it really sux! i would say if u feel u have a lot of hair on ur face and it is very noticeable.... then wax it... otherwise if its just hair but not so hairy dont wax it or anything... it may go away over time as u grow older.

i get hair under my chin which is a real headache.. because they r thick small hairs... but i thread it myself.. and they arent so noticeable then. i used to bleach and once the bleach started to fade, id wax those hairs... and they'd grow slowly back and i'll leave it... cuz then they wont look so noticeable but after a while id do the same.. but now im just threading... only cuz i dont have the proper wax. over time i will use electrolysis.

threading is much more painful than waxing.. threading pulls each hair out at a time.. as for wax does it quick.

id say wax for u, cuz it makes the hair grow thinner... or even less. it'll grow back after a couple of weeks, but if u continue the hairs will be less noticeable or even gone. get it done from a salon.. cuz they know how to pull it out of the root, thats important...

    good luck.
Everyone has that hair. I wouldn't suggest getting rid of it at all. Once you start removing it, it starts growing back darker. If you REALLY want it gone, try laser treatments. It's more expensive, but it's permanent once all of the treatments are done.
If it is really that bad i would wax it but i don't know how bad it is ask some one that knows you and that would give you the honest truth it might not be as bad as you think
The less painful one is threading, but I wouldn't care because I would go with whatever looks better, I don't know about you...
I think you should thread it..there are many advantages...waxiing will just be more painfull than threading!

threading takes the roots out....Gud Luk
either way is pain full and yes the regrowth is noticable it will only grow back thicker

Ladies what the best facial hair removal creme? No wax no shave no laser.?

Try a brand that specializes in removing hair, such as veet or nair. I wouldn't recommend Sally Hansen because hair removal is not their forte. Also look for one that is for sensitive skin, because you can never be too careful. I once tried a facial hair remover for normal skin and it left my skin red and blotchy, and I actually consider my skin to be very enduring of harsh conditions.Ladies what the best facial hair removal creme? No wax no shave no laser.?
Most brands seem to work fairly well -Nair, Veet etc. Just leave it on like 5 mins and it'll come right off no problem. The first few times it might be a little red after but it shouldnt be problem if you dont leave it on too long.Ladies what the best facial hair removal creme? No wax no shave no laser.?
Skin So Soft Facial Hair Lightening Gel through AVON works really well - it doesn't have an offensive chemical odor and is gentle on your skin - no burning or tingling.

Unfortunately, it doesn't remove the hair, at least not overnight. Rather, it makes hair lighter in color, softer and finer and eventually the hair disappears.
    pluck and bleach it
I just use the Nair that is for facial hair removal. You leave it on for about 4 minutes and it works great. I have used it for about 3 years now.

    ~ HAIR REMOVAL METHODS ~

    - - - Permanent Hair Removal - - -

    * Electrolysis - Is the practice of electrical epilation to permanently remove human hair. The practitioner slides a hair-thin metal probe into each hair follicle. Proper insertion does not puncture the skin. Electricity is delivered to the follicle through the probe, which causes localized damage to the areas that generate hairs, either through the formation of caustic lye (galvanic method) or by overheating (thermolysis method).

    - - - Permanent Hair Reduction - - -

    * Laser - The primary principle behind laser hair removal is selective photothermolysis. Lasers can cause localized damage by selectively heating dark target matter in the area that causes hair growth while not heating the rest of the skin. (Does not permanently remove all hair, but does reduce the amount of visible hair).

    * Flashlamp - The focused, broad spectrum light is applied to the surface of the skin by way of either a hand-held wand, or by an articulated arm. The intense light travels through the tissue of the skin until it strikes the hair shafts or the bulb (root) of the hair. The bulb is usually where the highest concentration of melanin is located, as opposed to the rest of the hair shaft. When the light strikes the dark-colored melanin, the light is converted to heat energy. The bulb and most of the hair shaft is instantly vaporized. The intense heat radiated by the hair also destroys the hair-producing papilla or the entire hair follicle. It is also claimed that direct light-heat conversion occurs directly in the darker colored capillaries that bring nourishing blood to the follicle. (Also called Intense Pulsed Light or IPL).

    * EpiLight - As Above. (An Intense Pulsed Light device).

    - - - Lasting Hair Inhibition - - -

    * Prescription oral medications.

    * A new method of epilation is to use enzymes that inhibit the development of new hair cells. Hair growth will become less and less until it finally stops, normal depilation/epilation will be performed during that time. Products include the prescription drug Vaniqa (active ingredient eflornithine hydrochloride inhibiting the enzyme ornithine decarboxylase).

    (Requires continuous use for many).

    - - - Temporary - - -

';Depilation'; lasting several hours to several days can be achieved by:

    * Shaving - Shaving is the removal of body hair (depilation), using a sharp blade known as a razor or with any other kind of bladed implement, to slice it down to the level of the skin. (Manually or with electric shavers).

    * Depilatories - Is a cosmetic preparation used to remove the hair from the skin on the human body. (Creams or ';shaving powders'; which chemically dissolve hair).

    * Friction (Rough surfaces used to buff away hair).

';Epilation'; lasting several days to several weeks can be achieved by:

    * Plucking - Describes the process of removing hair, animal hair, by mechanically pulling the item from the owner's body. (Hairs are plucked, or pulled out, with tweezers or with fingers).

    * Waxing - Is a temporary method of hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for three to eight weeks. Waxing is accomplished by spreading a wax combination thinly over the skin. A cloth or paper strip is then pressed on the top and ripped off with a quick movement against the direction of hair growth. This removes the wax along with the hair and dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth. Another method of waxing involves hot wax, a soft wax directly applied to the skin. The wax then hardens when it cools, thus allowing the easy removal by a therapist without the aid of cloths. (A hot or cold layer is applied and then removed with porous strips).

    * Sugaring - (Also known as 'Persian waxing') is a method of hair removal that has been in use for thousands of years. The process is similar to waxing, though there are a few differences in the two. Sugaring is supposed to be less painful because it only sticks to the hair (wax will also attach to the skin). Since it is made out of natural ingredients, it is supposed to be less harmful than wax, as well; however, ';natural'; does not necessarily mean ';safe';. Though the process and the materials usually leaves a sticky mess, sugar is soluble in water and therefore sugaring involves a relatively easy cleanup with warm water. (Similar to waxing, but with a sticky paste).

    * Threading - Is an ancient method of hair removal that is still used in parts of the Middle and Far East. Thin, twisted cotton threads are rolled over untidy hairlines, mustaches and so on, plucking the offending hair. (Also called fatlah or khite, in which a twisted thread catches hairs as it is rolled across the skin).

    * Epilators - Is an electrical device used to remove hair by mechanically grasping multiple hairs simultaneously and pulling them out. (Devices that rapidly grasp hairs and pull them out by the root).Does any woman have any advise on facial hair? especially on the upper lip. Creams and waxes burn my skin?
If you have the money for it, I'd suggest electrolosis. or lazer removal.

    http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/laser-h鈥?/a>

Check your local phone book for a local cosmetic surgeon to help you. It really should not be more than a thousand dollars. If you want to remove the unwanted hair forever, you won't mind spending the money.

    Cheers

Second: try bleaching with lemon juice or peroxide made for head hair (the whitest blonde you can find)

If the upper lip hair is too long, trim w/scissors AFTER you've bleached.

Try, also, the Sally Hansen products for bleaching out facial hair. There's a really gentle formula designed for sensitive skin. I use it and get great results as long as I dont leave it on for the total recommended time in the instructions.

Start with 1/3 or 1/2 the recommended time, or you may blister.
If the hair is dark then try laser treatment. If it's light, then electrolysis is the only answer. Unfortunately both will hurt on the upper lip, as it is a very sensitive area.
    It's hormonal.

Most women will acquire some moustache growth at some point in their life, especially after age 30, but many from early teens.

If there's not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with a slight moustache.

If you do decide you have to do something, then be very careful, because there's a lot of wrong ';information'; around.

Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of

    1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

    2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

    * Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

    * Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

    * Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

    * Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.
I agree that shaving is not a desirable option, not only because of the upkeep/stubble factor, but your skin is very sensitive so you would probably get some irritation from it anyhow. I would advise getting a consultation for laser hair removal. The price has dropped significantly in the last few years, making it very affordable for everybody.

    Good luck!

My friend uses a cream bleach to lighten the hair. She has sensitive skin too, and this works for her.I think it's called Jolene.

    Waxing facial hair question?

do you wax in the opposite direction that hair is growing???

like if its growing downwards, do you wax upwards??

or do you wax the hair the way it is growing??? in my case, downwards.Waxing facial hair question?
if the hair grows up, u pull the strip down :) hope i helped 10 points please!!!Waxing facial hair question?
It depends on the wax you are using. You always rip the wax off in the opposite direction of the hair growth but if you are using strip wax then you apply the wax in the same direction of the hair growth but if you are using the hot wax (the type that hardens) then you apply it against the hair growth. Again, when removing the wax you always rip it off against the hair growth.
Yes, you wax the opposite way that it grows. That way it you can be sure to get it all and it is harder for it to grow back which is good.
Yes. You pull the strip the opposite way the hair grows, If not, You won't pull the hair out.
yeah you should wax the opposite direction so that the hair could get removed
u wax opposite of hair growth

  • Facial Waxing Question?

Hey guys, lets say i buy 2 boxes of facial waxing at walmart, when will i have to go back and get more? (Like how long will 2 boxes last?) And aslo, lets say for some reason i cant go get another box.. and my hairs grow back, will it show a lot? Or less than what it showed before i started waxing?Facial Waxing Question?
I say you will be good for 4 months with 2 boxes. And your hair will grow back darker and thicker than it was before.Facial Waxing Question?
    go to a professional doctor
Ok well if you wax your face your hairs are going to come out darker and thicker. I know this may sound gross but I have a lot of hairs on my chin and it annoys the heck out of me cause it makes me look like a guy so I pluck my hairs and everytime I pluck the they come out darker and thick. Thats just like when guys first start shaving they shave more and more because it starts to show more. Hope this helps
i think two boxes will last you a long time if your just doing an upper lip and brows. you can re-use it if your desperate but i wouldnt recommend it
    LOL. I love vague stuff.

The time frame you may have to buy more depends on what size wax containers you bought and how much you use when you wax.

If you're just doing your top lip, even the smallest of waxes should last a good while.
    i dont know

Will lightening my facial hair with lemon jucie make my hair get darker or thicker even if i dont wax/shave it

i dont shave/wax it, but i want to make sure before i lighten it, that it wont becom thicker or darker. Will lightening my facial hair with lemon jucie make my hair get darker or thicker even if i dont wax/shave it
I wouldn't use lemon juice try a facial hair bleach. Lemon juice will not make your hair thicker or darker. It may appear that it has once it starts to grow out. Will lightening my facial hair with lemon jucie make my hair get darker or thicker even if i dont wax/shave it
it won't get darker or thicker. it might not get lighter either, lemon juice does not always work.
That doesn't always work. I would suggest a cream that you can get at beauty supply stores like Sally's or what ever u may have where you are from. All you do is run the cream on and wipe off 5 mins later and the hair is gone and no pain.
i dont no about it getting darker, but some of my frends use Nair..it reallly helps!
I would see a dermatologist---------lemon juice only works on your hair on your head.
no your hair will not get darker. it might lighten up a bit but lemon juice is not that harsh. it will definetly brighten your hair but for facial hair you might wanna try a bleaching kit just for that purpose. they make them mild enough these days to use almost anywhere.
Most hair removal methods are temporary and painful.

Many people prefer to make their body and facial hair less noticeable by bleaching.
I used to be a hairdresser and I hate to tell you this but, lemon juice won't work. If you shave them, they will come in thicker, coarser and darker. However, it you tweeze them or have the area waxed and continue to do this, you can actually damage the hair follicle enough that some may not grow back at all. For example, I've been tweezing my eyebrows for about 25 years and most of them don't come back anymore, I have very few straglers that I need to tweeze after all these years-which is great!
No, it won't thicken or darken it (I used this technique for years when I was younger). But you could also use the commercial over the counter hair ligtheners which work quicker. With the lemon juice you need to spend time out in the sun for it to lighten the hair. Good luck and God Bless.

Tweeze or wax i have facial hair that comes ever other day can i purchase online or at a cvs also razor bumps.

Waxing facial hair is much more effective than tweezing. They have pre waxed strips at CVS... easy and cheap!Tweeze or wax i have facial hair that comes ever other day can i purchase online or at a cvs also razor bumps.
Waxing lasts longer than tweezing so I would reccomend that. But if you want to permanently remove the hair there is always laser hair removal. Some can be pretty costly though.Tweeze or wax i have facial hair that comes ever other day can i purchase online or at a cvs also razor bumps.
book into a salon and get electrolosis(its a permanent hair removal method where they do small sections at a time and insert a small needle into the hair follicle, it isnot too costly and will save you money ant time in the long run and you will be hair free with no bumps, shadow or anything.
WalMart sells this product called SurgiCream it takes facial hair off in as little as 4 minutes and has a lotion with it to smooth the skin and slow hair regrowth.
wax, eventually it will grow in finer and less often, you'll also only need to wax every 4-6 weeks.

Facial hair? I have Really thick Facial hair! What is a really good Face Wax?

    Get one from Sally Hansen.

I wax my face bc of facial hair but now all of a sudden it looks like i am breaking out from ingrown hairs?

what can i do to get rid of the hair for good besides lase hair removal? what do i do to get rid of the bumps? how can i get rid of dark spots from break outs, bumps and facial hair? i want even clear skin!!!!I wax my face bc of facial hair but now all of a sudden it looks like i am breaking out from ingrown hairs?
Use a mild exfoliant on your face to remove dead skin that may be over the hair shaft. If you use a toner and exfoliant regulary after waxing you probably wont have this problem and it will keep your skin looking fresh and healthy.I wax my face bc of facial hair but now all of a sudden it looks like i am breaking out from ingrown hairs?
There are only two permanent methods - the BEST has clearly been electrolysis. The only proven, non discriminating method. The other is laser and since that is out I guess you have to go for the electrolysis. Just be sure to get soemone that has a really good rep and knows what they are doing. PS: I have done a lot of research on this. If you have darker/heavier hair on your face (there has to be some contrast skin/hair - darker skin hopefully has darker hair)I would reconsider and go laser- I just did the laser (Luminous) on my underarms ('cause I hate shaving) and after one treatment for $70 (on ';sale) I have had almost NO hair growth for over two weeks - WOW!. If you don't have a lot of hair or have lighter hair you have to go with the electrolysis.
Laser is your only option for (somewhat) permanent removal. Waxing will cause you to break out. You should find a salon that does threading! It's much better tha waxing because waxing also pulls you skin and in long term is not good for your skin.

Some Asian, Indian, or Middle eastern salons, and now days the upper end spas have threading...

You should definitely look into it.

DO NOT...DO NOT... DO NOT SHAVE YOUR FACE!!!!!
try some kind of product made for that or pluck them
I used to buy this paste for my husband for his ingrown hairs, it's actually made for BLACK skin. Because black people's hair grows much more slowly, it doesn't have enough time to surface. I can't remember for the life of me what it's called, it's like a salve or wax that you rub against the growth of the hair, and fills the pore and the hair can keep from getting trapped.

You can also try tea tree oil. I heard it's really good for the skin. I personally use witch hazel to make my pores smaller.
Exfoliate before you do any type of hair removal on your face. Use aloe vera gel for the spots you have now.
well i tweeze my hairs but becareful if you wanna do that it hurts obviously. Umm.. the bumps just keep your face clean you get the bumps becuase it's probably infected. To get rid of the dark spots you can use proactiv if you want or my personal fav cocoa butter. Just don't put all the chemicals on your face it will only make it worse go to your dermatologist hun!
If you want to avoid laser, try threading as an alternative to waxing. It takes more time, but the results are like waxing, with less irritation to the skin (the wax pulls on your skin, threading only pulls the hairs). To help curb instances of ingrown hairs, exfoliate regularly - the hairs can curl into the skin due to skin that has not yet shed.

Another person mentioned aloe vera gel - great stuff. I also recommend adding a couple of drops of tea tree oil. Both will help your skin to remain clear, and curb the dark marks. Higher quality products can be found at nutrition and health food stores. Some friends of mine swear by using a little Vitamin E oil on healing breakouts to cut down on the dark marks.
Sorry, that can be soo disheartening. Maybe try seeing a doctor if feasible. It could be a hormonal problem %26amp; they have drugs to balance out hormones. Best Wishes to you.

okay so...waxing your face is disgusting! Lazer hair removal is a good idea but sometimes it can get expensive...Maybe you should be like a man and shave your face.... (gross!)

Wax or threading - facial hair - which one?

right so over the past 3 weeks ive got fine hair over my cheek bones. it bothers me cos i have black hair.

should i thred it, i have this machine thingy which u put string it , press on and it does it for you or should i wax it.

    which is a better idea?

also what about bleaching? because i dont think they r growing but i dont it to change the colour of my skin? not sure how it works - never used it beforeWax or threading - facial hair - which one?
i asked my self the same thing for my eye brows, but sorry dont know but heard threading hurts

:)Wax or threading - facial hair - which one?
If you have dark skin, don't bleach. The blond hairs will stand out.

If you have lighter skin, TOTALLY bleach. My Mom used to do it a lot, it's harmless. it doesn't change the color of your skin. Waxing hurts like hell, and threading is a pain in the @ss.

Besides, when your hair grows back, it'll feel nasty (stubbly), like you shaved.

    BLEACH.
    Threading!

I do it on my own.

    Its so easy %26amp; cheap.

You get used to the pain...

Waxing is a bit more pricey.

  • Can i use wax (i.e hot sugar n lemon) to remove my facial hair?

is it painfull?....how much sugar n lemon juice do i have to use?... wat is the process exactly? Can i use wax (i.e hot sugar n lemon) to remove my facial hair?
    Hiiiiiiiiii

    ya off course u can.......

it is painful.....and just apply the mixture to ur face where hair r present....and place a wax strip on it...and press it well..and remove it in opposite direction to the hair growth (forceful)...................and rub ur face with iceblocks after waxing....

Best of Luck!!!Can i use wax (i.e hot sugar n lemon) to remove my facial hair?
No, don't wax your facial hair - it is very painful and will make your face red. What I do is I use facial hair removal cream, I have to do it about once a week but it depends on the cream. It is not painful at all and it moisturises your facial skin as well, leaving it soft. It's a much better thing to do. OR I would also recommend bleaching it with special facial hair bleaching cream, but the best thing is to remove it completely with the facial hair removal cream.

    Good luck x
i do it all the time and my face is just fine , very clear, clean and soft.

    i love it !

at the first i didn't know how to do it, so it was real bad =[

be careful of using hair removal creams and bleaching it only will make it worse, UR HAIR WILL GROW MORE THAT IT WAS ;S

u can go to the salon if u r afraid, or learn how to do it ;] ...

    STEPS :

1- Heat wax if the directions indicate you should do so.

2- Apply the wax in the direction the hair is growing in.

3- Press the muslin strips onto the wax (if applicable)

4- Allow wax to harden adequately.

5- Pull up a small section of wax opposite to where you started

6- Hold skin taut and pull the wax or strip backwards, against the way the hair grows.

    TIPS:

    * When applying the wax, you want to apply it in the direction the hair is growing. Imagine that your chin is a cat and picture which way the fur is going: you want to go WITH the 'fur', from head to tail.

    * When pulling the wax off, you should pull it the opposite direction to that which you applied it. If you applied the wax from the foremost part of your chin towards your neck, pull it from your neck out and away from you.

    * Hard/Surgi-wax is a little harder to use but achieves a more professional look. Also, thicker, coarser hairs may not come off with soft wax and muslin strips.

    * Always follow the instructions that come with the wax; every brand is different.

    Warnings:

    * DON'T overheat the wax. if you do get it too hot, let it cool until it's the right creamy consistency. You may get burned very badly if it's too hot-- and then you have to further irritate the area by pulling the wax of.

    * Be extra vigilant when doing brows. Hard wax especially can drip onto more of your brow than you want gone, or worse: your eyelashes. Please be very careful.

    * Always do a patch test if you've never waxed before or if you're trying a new brand of wax that has a strong scent.

[ something i always do]: after i finish i put a very cold yogurt for about 20 mins. then remove it very gently. DONT WASH IT WITH WATER unless it's very cold.

this last step wont make ur face red.

    hope i helped ;3

    good luck

    xx

Should i wax or thread my facial hair?(mainly around my side burns)?

    and one more thing.

    i am 34B(probably a little bigger than B)

i am 16.is that ok for my age?

whats ur size?Should i wax or thread my facial hair?(mainly around my side burns)?
Yes, it's just fine, and you might want to colour your facial hair rather than to wax it.Should i wax or thread my facial hair?(mainly around my side burns)?
Id say thread.... because ive tried.. (my eyebrows and upper lip) and its pretty good. I dont really have much hair on my face.. but a friend who HAS to do it always otherwise she'll look ';manly' says that threading is best for the face.. waxing for the rest of the body.

PS never shave... your face, bikini, underarms, hands, tummy.

EDIT - If you bleach, your hair will get long, i mean REALLY LONG!

I did it on my arms (i thought that the little hair will not be visible) yeah they did bleach but now they are eww really long!
Hon, you're FINE...Your size is fine, you look CUTE...I'd say waxing would be best for hair removal..P.S. You don't want mega-hooters...Ask any girl with ';bigguns'; and she'd gladly trade you, I'll bet.

Why isn't wax working on my facial hair?

i used to use nair facial hair remover but it left stubble so someone told me to try waxing, ive tried it a few times but it doesn't seem to be taking any hair away, any ideas? Why isn't wax working on my facial hair?
I have an epilator called called a Tweeze. It pulls the hair out at the roots and it's less painful than waxing. I think that it was about 拢20, I got mine from QVC.Why isn't wax working on my facial hair?
You may be better with electrolysis if you want a truly smooth feel and look as it kills the hair off at the root and is nigh-on permanent. It's really only good for smaller areas though so if you have particularly dense or stubborn bits this may be for you.

Most men's facial hair is too coarse to get the finish you want with normal methods hun.

There's also permanent laser hair removal. It's quite costly but will permanently give you the finish you want if you don't want facial hair at all.
Do not use a razor, unless your a bloke, then its fine. You have to wait till there is some hair growth after you used the hair remover, so the wax can pick up the hair. I think around 4mm.

If it doesn't work then, go the salon they will do it for you and advise you, and its cheap enough to have facial hair waxed too..
    DO NOT USE A RAZOR!

let it grow a bit and then wax it off because at the moment its got nothing to grab onto. Also leave the facial hair remover on longer as it will get right down might be a bit sore though so be careful :)
Longer hair comes off easily with wax. Try growing it longer n than wax it.
To be honest, a razor is probably your best bet.
    try a razor
DON'T SHAVE , get it threaded

    Facial waxing please help me..?

Does every single grocery store in Canada sell facial waxing strips?Facial waxing please help me..?
I know this isn't what you asked, and I really hate when people answer me with something that isn't what I asked..

But I just wanted to say that creams work way better than the wax for me.

    Facial waxing..?

does getting your face waxed hurt and is it bad for you?Facial waxing..?
It hurts at first, but after a while, you will get used to it. It may be a little red afterwards, too. But the redness goes away in a couple hours or by the next day. No, it isn't bad for you but be careful. You could have a bad reaction if you use a prescription facial medicine so tell the waxing person prior to the waxing if you use any prescription facial medicines and which ones you use.Facial waxing..?
It does hurt, but not that much you will get use to it and it won't be bad after. It's not bad for you.
not its not bad for u .. i do it and my face gets red but then its alright afterwards =) .. if u dont want it waxed why not try threading? .. it has the same affect as waxing cuz threading pulls hairs from the roots ..
it is not bad for you, your face might hurt while it is waxed but you'll be fine after everything is done
    it hurts a little

Which is best method to remove facial hair(plucking or wax)?

    laser is another method.......

    Removing Facial Hair through Laser

Unwanted facial hair can spoil your appearance. Hence removing them is a must. There are many ways to achieve this goal, both traditional as well as modern. Traditional methods include waxing, shaving, plucking and electrolysis. But you need to do these methods frequently as they do not destroy the hair root but just remove the hair from superficial level.

But with the arrival of laser, everything has changed. Though this treatment may seem expensive, it turns out to be economical in the end. This treatment is carried out by focusing a laser beam with low intensity on the hair follicles. This results in the destruction of hair roots but the skin surrounding it is not affected. Best of all it is painless procedure. If you experience any discomfort, you can ask for local anesthetic to prevent yourself from experiencing the pain. But in general, you can do this process without numbing yourself, as there is hardly any pain involved. Besides, it is a safe process as hardly any pain is involved.

With the laser technology becoming popular, many centers have sprung up offering this facility. Check them out thoroughly before finalizing on one. Find out if you can get the personal attention given from the specialists and whether the latest technology is used. Get recommendations from your friends who have undergone this treatment. Internet as well as yellow pages can also be a good source of information.

You will have to go a certain number of sittings for the treatment. You have to do a minimum number of sitting to get your desired results. Besides, if the area to be treated is large, you will have to pay more. Hence cost becomes the driving factor in your choice of the center. The centers with the ISO certification charge higher than the others. Besides, the quality of staff and the décor will also play a role in deciding the price.Which is best method to remove facial hair(plucking or wax)?
Depends if you're male or female.Which is best method to remove facial hair(plucking or wax)?
plucking, or you could bleach it, which means the hair will go a lighter colour and blend in with your skin and it is less painful.
Wax is better if you have the money and the time. Plucking can be painful, and leave scars.

Laser hair removal is permanent and the best, although the most expensive.
    Shaving....what other way is there?

    wax is best
    Laser therapy
plucking if its just an odd hair. If it's like a moustache then waxing but once you do this, you'll be at it forever!
Waxing for sure. Lasts longer and all over and done with really quickly.
    best way is to wax!!!!!!!!!
Salon wax, for gods sake don't try yourself, I had to get my partner to rip the damn thing off my lip in the end ....

    there went that little secret.....
Never pluck, especially around the lower face. I had been doing it for years and I noticed that the hair was getting darker, more stubborn and coarser (A few strays but not all the hair). I got told this a month ago and it is true. So I advise you wax. Don't use cream it spread the hair from where you have it to areas you don't. If you stopped using the cream you would have a full grown beard!

Also the cream does not last that long. Plucking and waxing lasts longer but waxing is the best by far in all aspects. You pluck the eyebrows because the they are less likely to spread everywhere. Also it doesn't matter if the hair is coarse it is meant to be.
both are good methods it is just that plucking hurts and ur plucking one by one and waxing hurts but your getting more out
Plucking is just too painful and tedious. Waxing leaves your face smooth but also there's option #3-nair cream. I find that nair leaves your face smooth and isn't painful.
IF YOU WANT IT CHEAP, PLUCK IT! THOUGH IT MAY IRITATE YOUR SKIN BY REMOVING HAIR ONE BY ONE. AND ITS PAINFUL.

IF YOU HAVE MONEY, WAX IT! PAIN COMES ALL AT ONCE! PHYSICALY AND FINANCIAL WISE! :) GOODLUCK!
Pluck the eyebrows, wax the beard and tache!
for just a few strays, pluck

for a patch of hair, wax.
    plucking
    definalty waxing
Hair removing cream is good and u don't have to do it very often! x
    wax
    Wax
    salon waxing
pluck if iits just a bit
Although waxing is a little more painfull, it takes longer for the hair to grow back. Another method you could try is hair removal creams like Nairs, pain free and last longer then shaving.
Wax as it will weaken the hair and grow through much finer.
If you use wax, the hairs don't grow back as fast compared to plucking
definetly waxing its done in a giffy, less painful...pluckin on the other hand is extremely painful...pluckin on the other hand leaves a pale look on the face, rashes sometimes and small bumps...go for waxin gives a kind of even look n removes any dead cells on the face...but be careful where u get it done...care needs to be taken while waxing ...when not done properly , it can lead to problems...
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

prfereablly after your periods. This helps you relaxws and freshWhen should I have beauty treatments like waxing or facials?
I would recommend that these be carried out well in advance of your wedding day, especially if you have never had them before. Facials are designed to encourage impurities to come out of your skin, so you may find that up to a month after the treatment these impurities are still working their way out of your system. With waxing you may develop small pimples to the area treated, especially if the area is on your face, or you may react to the product, so a trial run well in advance of your wedding is essential and the actual treatment itself should take place a few days before the big day.
waxing at the age of 16-17 years but facial after 22 only
now, you ug for britain...almost as good as jade goody
    AFTER 20.
    above 20
it depends on your skin type....u can begin waxing from age 15 onwards as there is an increase in growth of hair when you reach puberty...the skin by this time is also a lil tough not as sensitive so u can start tht....well facial truly depends on the kind of skin you have...if u have a lot of acne problem u shud not get ur face waxed but can go for facial...else homemade beauty masks made from besan, curd, fruit peels etc can be applied at any age..they are harmless!!
    15 - 16
Waxing you can stop after 35 because no will pay attention anywaz ...and facial you can start at the age of 45 bec thatz when all the wrinkles pop up

Haircut, wax, mani-pedi, facial, and more...all in one place...?

I am looking to open a salon/spa. I have my cosmetology license from a world renowned academy of cosmetology; and I am also looking into getting my Massage practitioners license, so that I can offer many different services. I would offer : Massages, Aromatherapy, Facials, Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, Haircuts/Styles/Perms/Highlights ext.. all in one place, all done by me. It would be very private as I would not accept walk in clients, and would only have one client in the spa at a time because I know some people are not comfortable with spa settings, especially when they are busy! So... would you like a setting like that? Why or why not? Would you pay extra for more personal attention and a cosmetologist with a higher level of training? why or why not? What kind of services do you receive on a monthly/yearly basis and would you go more often if you had a good relationship and trust with your cosmetologist? Thank you!Haircut, wax, mani-pedi, facial, and more...all in one place...?
Hell yeah if I had the money I would go there once a month and get spend the day getting all my beauty stuff done.Haircut, wax, mani-pedi, facial, and more...all in one place...?
That is one place that would be wonderful to go to-at a reasonable price. Each thing reasonably priced. As far as I can tell, not trying to burst your bubble, but that would be high priced, to me. As a woman, I can go to a local barber shoop in my town, and for $6 get a haircut. Why so cheap? I have heard it's because they don't have all those ';name brand'; items for sale there. As for haircoloring, etc., I would be interested. Especially in a massage. That I have had done, and feels so good! For options on a massage, of 15,30,45, and 60 min. long. That would be awesome! I wish you the best. Take care.

Should I wax my facial hair or not?

Ok, so I'm a teenage girl and I've been bleaching my facial hair for a few years because I have really dark hair and pale skin so when theyre bleached the hair isnt that noticeable but recently the hair (mostly around my chin and underneath my chin has grown... like an inch long.

So i trimmed it and bleached it but my mom keeps urging me to wax it.. the whole regrowth thing puts me off though, wont it look stubbly?

Shall I do it or not?

And please dont suggest electorisys/laser removal or seeing a por because these things cost money :P

thanks.Should I wax my facial hair or not?
Yes you should because bleaching it can cause damage to your skinShould I wax my facial hair or not?
Yeah I would wax it. :(
Definitely wax it. I don't have that problem, but if it does look stubbly, just bleach that until it is long enough to wax it again.
Wax it off if it really bothers you... theres always shaving ;)

Gross, lol. Just go with whatever you're comfortable with I guess

Can i wax my facial hair?

I have gone under 15 sittings of IPL(intense pulsed light) treatment for the removal of my facial hair.. but my hair grows back within 2 months of the sitting.. n dis treatment is burning a hole in my pocket..so i am thinking of getting them waxed now.. but i am little aprehensive about it.. will dis work.. will i get rashes on my skin(as i have very sensitive skin)..is their any other alternative to waxing.. i dont knw wot to do.. please help me out..Can i wax my facial hair?
ummm....if you've gone to 15 sittings and its still coming back....you need to get your money back. As for waxing...yeah you can do that...a lot of people do...just go to your local beauty store and im sure they will have about 10 different brands for you to choose fromCan i wax my facial hair?
i have my chin, brows, and upper lip waxed every three months. it is not something i like doing but it works and it is not that expensive ($22.00 or so). the waxing truns my face red for about 20 minutes and then everything is back like it should be.
They have all shapes and forms of wax, I have very sensitive skin, I use Nad's Aussie Hair wax on my face and it works great. There dipilitory creams and bleaches. your best bet is the wax though. To get those stubborn dark course stray hairs. Hope this helps.
well can but if your hair is short then it will be stupid but if it is long then OK.

Should I wax my facial hair?

I usually bleach it because I have really pale skin and black hair hair and bleaching makes it less obvious, but lately the hairs on my face, esp on my chin and underneath my chin have been getting longer so I trim them :( Which I realise now makes them grow longer... yes, I'm such a dunce.

So my moms been saying that I should wax them. But Im really worried about the whole regrowth thing.. wont they look stubbly? On the other hand, I really do want to be smooooth ! But I dont want to be slave to wax.. but then again, I dont want to look like a man.

    What should I do?

Dont suggest laser hair removal or seeing a waxer cos that costs money!

thanksShould I wax my facial hair?
Please don't wax it, pluck it or shave it, or bleach it anymore. It will damage your skin %26amp; cause a lot of pain. There are lot more easy ways to remove your facial hair!

Have you used ';MySpring It'; - Facial Hair Remover?

It is a spring bar which removes your hair from its roots without damaging your skin in two easy steps!

It is cheap, reusable, portable and natural.Should I wax my facial hair?
don't worry, waxing won't make the hairs look 'stubbly.' When you wax facial hair, it grows back slower and thinner each time you do,or at least in my case it did. i have extremely dark thick hair, and waxing works fine with me, so it should work well for you.
waxing has a chance of pulling out the hair follicles that kills the hair. waxing also slows the growing of hair compared to shaving which makes it grow faster and thicker.
wax them, waxing makes them grow back slower and finer each time.

u could also try the smooth away, idk if it works but its an option
Yeah, just wax it. It won't grow as fast and it won't be as easy to see.
I'm for waxing also. They grow back slower and finer.
