It definitely matters. Too short and the wax will have a hard time grabbing the hair. Too long and you run the risk of the hair breaking instead to coming out at the root. The PERFECT length of hair is 1/4 -1/2 inch. If you have thin hair try to get it waxed closer to the 1/4 inch mark because the hair is more fragile. If your hair is thinker grow it out to 1/2 inch because the root is going to be stronger there for you will need the extra length for the wax to grip.
If your a frequent waxer than the root is damaged and doesn't hold the hair tightly anyway so either length will be good.I was wondering how long does facial hair have to be to be waxed?
